An old friend and mentor, Craig Pratt has started Next Level Living. Next level living is a web presence promoting becoming a better version of yourself every day. They encourage helping others. After seeing a story about what I was up to, Craig sent me a shirt and asked me to share a little of my story. I wrote this for the NLL facebook page, and thought I’d share it here:
Cynthia Wilson of Argento Studios, a blogger interviewed me a few weeks ago. Argento Studios is a blog about multimedia, journalism, music and the arts. We spent several hours talking and wrapped up with a little photo/video shoot. Chase the Music really resounded with her, and here’s our story, through Cynthia’s words:
I recently met by with Phil, Lucia and Ari of the Efrem Foundation, a non-profit out of New Jersey. They provide services to aid youth, struggling with severe grief caused by the loss of a loved one. They know that when our youth are in a crisis, they don’t have the same coping skills that adults do. It can be debilitating to a youth – trying to resolve the loss of a loved one.
When EmmaMarie and I visited RespiteCare last week her goal was to goal was to learn what made the kids there happy. She’s in the process of writing an original piece – “My Happy Song” just for these kids. See more about that visit here.
Performing artist Emma Marie, her sister Mia, mom – Cindy and I visited Respite Care in Fort Collins Colorado yesterday to build energy and inspiration for EmmaMarie’s new composition “Happy” which will be premiered later this month.
