Healing grief with music

I recently met by with Phil, Lucia and Ari of the Efrem Foundation, a non-profit out of New Jersey. They provide services to aid youth, struggling with severe grief caused by the loss of a loved one. They know that when our youth are in a crisis, they don’t have the same coping skills that adults do. It can be debilitating to a youth – trying to resolve the loss of a loved one.

Brendan Lutes

Brendan Lutes (bass) is a rising freshman at the University of Colorado Boulder, and will be studying aerospace engineering and music next year in school. He is very excited to be performing with Benjamin for this graduation concert! Brendan was part of the Choir of Hope, for Benjamin.

Brandon Warren

Brandon Warren (tenor), a Fairview graduate since a week ago, has been watching Benjamin perform in quartets at school since sophomore year and is ecstatic to have this opportunity. His favorite piece of the set is “And So It Goes.” Brandon was part of the Choir of Hope, for Benjamin.

Libby Williams

Libby Williams (alto) graduated from Fairview High School and will be headed off to Brandeis University in the fall. She has absolutely loved working with Benjamin on this project and others, and is so happy to be a part of such an amazing group. Libby was part of the Choir of Hope, for Benjamin.

Julia Jenak

Julia Jenak (alto) enjoys spending her time in nature, hiking and gardening. Julia is a rising senior at Fairview who hopes to study environmental engineering in college, and she has loved building a friendship with Benjamin.
