Nevaeh’s Song

At the young age of 12, Nevaeh had to undergo a kidney transplant. It’s not once and done – fix. She’ll be back in the next 5 years for another transplant. It was so important to Chick Pea and Cousin Tank of the Potlickers – Mountain Division that they wrote her a very special song. A piece for Nevaeh. An 12 year old that had just undergone a kidney transplant. That kidney came from her mom.

A Nevaeh is a Colorado ranch girl, living outside Berthoud, CO. Her favorite music was ‘Jug Band’. It was a challenge to find a jug band. You don’t see them every day. We came across ChickPea and Cousin Tank, and they had hearts as big as the state. The created a beautiful piece, and performed it at the farmers days in Berthoud for Nevaeh.

The Potlikkers (Mountain Division) is a homegrown, down-to-earth Jug Band, based in Colorado and Florida.

Cousin Tank and ChickPea like to say we are all a little reflection of Heaven. Nevaeh is Heaven spelled backwards.

Nevaeh’s Song was premiered at Berthoud FarmStand days, a community celebration in August, 2016.
